The Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations from the communities of Stow and Munroe Falls for the 2014 “Friend of the Community Award.” This award will be presented on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at the Pride Breakfast event held at Acker-Moore Memorial Post, 3733 Fishcreek Rd., Stow. This event is open to the public and more than 200 people from the community attend every year.
The criteria for the award are as follows: Nominee must work or live in the Stow-Munroe Falls community. This individual should show a long-standing commitment to the community, be an “unsung hero.” Chamber membership is not a requirement for this award.
“We want the communities of Stow and Munroe Falls to be more involved in the nominating process,” expressed Doris Stewart, SMFCC executive director. “We know there are ‘unsung’ heroes out there who are not necessarily involved in the Chamber, and we want the communities’ help in identifying them. This individual will be known for giving exceptional time and talent to the Stow-Munroe Falls community.”
The deadline for nominations is Friday, May 30. SMFCC Board of Directors Executive Committee will make the final selection.
